One Final Trailer for Patty Jenkins’ ‘Wonder Woman’ Starring Gal Gadot

Wonder Woman Trailer

“Be careful with mankind, Diana. They do not deserve you.” Warner Bros has released one final trailer for the Wonder Woman movie, due out in less than a month. This is technically the fourth trailer, and likely the final trailer we’ll see before release, but it’s one of the best ones yet. This solo spin-off movie in the DC Universe is set during World War I stars Gal Gadot (from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) as the Amazonian princess-warrior Diana who becomes Wonder Woman. Patty Jenkins directs, with a full cast featuring Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, David Thewlis, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis, Danny Huston, Ewen Bremner, Samantha Jo and Saïd Taghmaoui. There has been criticism about WB not marketing this movie enough, but with this epic trailer there’s plenty to be excited about. Fire it up. ›››

Must Watch: First Full Trailer for Zack Snyder’s ‘Justice League’ Movie

Justice League Movie

“You said the age of heroes would never come again.” “It has to.” It’s time! Warner Bros has unleashed the first official trailer for DC’s Justice League, featuring tons of action-packed footage of the team of five superheros from the DC Comics world coming together to save the world. This is the first actual trailer aside from the Comic-Con footage last year. Justice League is the continuation of the Batman v Superman series in the DC universe bringing together five super-powered beings: Ben Affleck as Batman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and Ray Fisher as Cyborg. There may be a few others, and the extensive cast includes Willem Dafoe, Jeremy Irons, Amber Heard, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon. Honestly this looks pretty damn cool, just pure entertainment, with a few epic shots at the end. Will it live up to the hype? Only time will tell. ›››

Until she is better than even you.” Warner Bros has debuted the third official trailer for DC’s Wonder Woman movie, showing even more amazing footage from this very promising superhero movie. This solo spin-off movie in the DC Universe is set during World War I stars Gal Gadot (from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) as the Amazonian princess-warrior Diana who becomes Wonder Woman. Patty Jenkins directs this action movie, also starring Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, David Thewlis, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis, Danny Huston, Ewen Bremner, Samantha Jo and Saïd Taghmaoui. The trailers for this movie are getting better and better, and I’m more and more hopeful that this might actually be a great movie. Only time will tell. Don’t miss this. ›››

Must Watch: Meet a Real Life Batman in ‘Being Batman’ Short Film

Being Batman Short Film

“It is not an acting class, it is not a character switch, it really is who I am.” Batman fans have to check out this wild short film called Being Batman, about a “real life” Batman vigilante who defends the streets of Brampton, Ontario, Canada. This is almost too crazy to be true, but it really is a short doc about a guy who dresses up as Batman, and pretty much believes he really is Batman – no, seriously. I love the way this short is put together, with voice-over driving the narrative, making it much more thrilling to watch. This would play as a nice double feature with the Batkid documentary. Really, you need to watch this to see for yourself. ›››

Watch: Fun ‘Behind the Bricks’ Featurette for ‘The Lego Batman Movie’

The Lego Batman Movie Featurette

“It seemed clear to everyone that the world needed more of me.” Warner Bros has debuted a fun making of featurette for The Lego Batman Movie, taking a look “behind the bricks” at the behind-the-scenes of this animated adventure. The movie hits theaters in just a few weeks, so this is one final reminder that it looks hilarious. The featurette is 4 minutes and goes “behind-the-scenes” with the characters, mocking the typical featurette including interviews with the cast and crew. The cast includes Will Arnett back as Batman, with Ralph Fiennes as Alfred, Mariah Carey, Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, Michael Cera as Robin, Zach Galifianakis as The Joker. I’m really excited for this, it looks like the perfect fun to escape with this winter. ›››

Editorial: Warner Bros Needs to Expand the DCEU Beyond Batman

Ben Affleck - Batman

At the climax of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Superman has literally fallen into the arms of his love, Lois Lane. The ending is far from romantic, however, as Batman and Wonder Woman stand beside the slain hero, heads bowed mournfully. Who knew this downer of an ending would signify more than just defeated heroes, it also acts as an analogy for the entire trajectory of DC Comics on film. By the time Suicide Squad rolled around, you could argue the DC Extended Universe had been put on suicide watch. For Ben Affleck, what started as a co-starring role has morphed into possibly being the DCEU’s only saving grace. ›››

How Warner Bros Might Be the Biggest Enemy of DC Entertainment

Batman v Superman

DC’s biggest heroes have been facing an adversary even bigger than Doomsday or Kryponite as of late: their own studio, Warner Bros. It was last month when it was revealed that director Rick Famuyiwa dropped out of directing The Flash, citing creative differences. This was a sizable loss for the film, as Famuyiwa’s hiring was considered a major coup. His departure hints at trouble for DC on film, who has stumbled out of the gate when their films should be leaping over tall buildings in a single bound. Along with countless mixed to negative critical reactions to their last two offerings, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad, it’s become clear Warner Bros is struggling to bring DC’s finest to the big screen. But why? ›››
