Linda Cardellini in First Trailer for Kidnapping Comedy ‘Austin Found’

Austin Found Trailer

“She’s what they call nowadays a ‘mean girl’.” Gravitas Ventures has released an official trailer for the film Austin Found, a comedy about a fame-obsessed single mother who tries to pull off a fake kidnapping in order to get attention. Actress Linda Cardellini stars as Leanne, who is bored with her “unglamorously average lifestyle” and recruits her ex-boyfriend and his ex-con friend to put this plan together and have her daughter go missing for a few months. The cast includes Urusula Parker as her daughter Patty, along with Kirsten Schaal, Craig Robinson, Skeet Ulrich, Patrick Warburton, Jon Daly, Chris Parnell, and Matt Jones. This looks crazy stupid, but perhaps that is the point, it’s a comedy about how stupid people can be sometimes all in pursuit of fame and fortune and glory. But I recommend Ingrid Goes West instead. ›››

New Red Band Trailer for ‘The House’ with Will Ferrell & Amy Poehler

The House Trailer

“You’re never going to believe what’s in the next room.” Warner Bros has debuted a new red band trailer for the wild comedy titled The House, where two parents decide to turn their home into an underground, illegal casino to make enough money to send their daughter to college. It’s a fun concept for a comedy. Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler star as the parents, with Nick Kroll, Jason Mantzoukas, Allison Tolman, Ryan Simpkins, Sam Richardson, Rob Huebel and Michaela Watkins. This trailer is a red band trailer mostly for language, and one bloody scene at the end, and that’s about it. Unfortunately this doesn’t look better than the first trailer, but I’m still looking forward to seeing this anyway. Maybe it’ll be enjoyable. ›››

Another Official US Trailer for Netflix’s Release of Comedy ‘Mindhorn’

Mindhorn US Trailer

“Surely things aren’t that bad?” Netflix has debuted an official US trailer for their upcoming release of the British cop spoof movie titled Mindhorn. This already opened in UK cinemas earlier this month, and first premiered at the London Film Festival last year, which must mean it’s actually way better than expected. Mindhorn is about a washed-up actor named Richard Thorncroft, played by comedian Julian Barratt, who played “Mindhorn” on a 1980s detective show. He has a bionic eye that allows him to literally “see the truth”, which is why he has the eye patch. Set in the current day, the film is about Mindhorn returning to the Isle of Man to take on the job of working as a real private detective. This also stars Andrea Riseborough, Essie Davis, Russell Tovey, Simon Farnaby, David Schofield, Nicholas Farrell, Simon Callow, and Steve Coogan. It looks quite entertaining, hopefully the entire film is as funny as this trailer is. Enjoy. ›››

Final Red Band Trailer for the ‘Baywatch’ Movie Lets Loose on F-Bombs

Baywatch Movie Trailer

“Some fishy s*!t is happening on our beach…” Paramount has dropped one last trailer for the Baywatch movie, hitting theaters in just a few weeks. This final trailer is a red band trailer but only for foul language, no nudity or anything else (since there isn’t actually any in the movie). But if you want to get a real sense of what this R-rated summer comedy is like, then watch this. Even though it does show a bit too much of the movie, so watch out. Zac Efron and Dwayne Johnson star as two feuding, hunky Baywatch lifeguards; with Alexandra Daddario, Priyanka Chopra, Pamela Anderson, Ilfenesh Hadera, Charlotte McKinney, Kelly Rohrbach, Hannibal Buress, plus of course David Hasselhoff. Also note, this is now being released on Thursday, May 25th, and not Friday. In case you really need to see it one day early. ›››
